About Us

Leadership is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations.

- Executive Coach—trained and personally certified by George Anderson
- Positivity Coach—trained and certified by the Positivity Institute
He is a twenty-eight year member of the National Society for the Study of Education. Factors that contributed to the development of LBO are stated below.
After retirement from the university, I was contacted by former students to provide consulting and executive coaching. The following needs became increasingly apparent:
- Professionals promoted into management positions where effectiveness of others became the significant criteria for success.
- Applicable research and organizational theory summarized for busy executives.
- Merger of the most promising management and motivational techniques into a synergistic system.
- “How to” handbooks for a turnkey program, so that the net cost of installing an advanced people management system is within the means of small businesses and struggling non-profits.
I was challenged by my three daughters—an executive coach, a graduate student in organizational development, and an agency manager. While describing my variation of Drucker’s Management by Objectives (MBO) to the recently promoted agency director, she said, “Write it up!” I did.
The first version of Leadership by Objectives contributed to an overwhelmingly successful transformation of a large social services agency. This success provided motivation and feedback for revising LBO. After an extensive review of the literature on employee motivation and organizational effectiveness, I revised and added to the original material. I was able to incorporate concepts from Jim Collins (Good to Great), Wagner & Harter (12-The Elements of Great Managing), Buckingham (First Break All the Rules), Welch (Winning), John Geier (DISC Profiles), and many others.
